I am not sure when the store opened but went by Gander Mountain in Sherman (60 miles north of Dallas on 75).  The store is not large as Basspro by the DFW airport.   However, they have at least 3 time more guns than Basspro.  Most of the guns were accesible by the customer without the saleman (but all had trigger lock).  There were small selection of used guns.  There were no hi-cap semi auto type weapons.  

It has a 20 foot long archery range with range officer present.  Cost $5.00 per hour per person.
There were some surplus ammunition (.308 on stripper clip was $69.99 per 200 round can)

Overall, it looks very good and worth the visit.  The store was practically empty on 6:50 pm on Wed night.

I'll be stopping by tomorrow around noon.
