We might go see the JFK stuff in Dallas tomorrow.

Don't want to walk around downtown Dallas without my "heater".

Is CHL a no-no inside the musuem?

What about on the TRE train from the mid-cities to Dallas?

Thanks,

Flyer

I guess it might seem strange that I'm asking about carrying a gun at the JFK assinanation musuem.

However, I'm asking because I can legally carry a concealed handgun in Texas and I don't want to be unarmed in downtown Dallas. Just want to make sure the place is not "off limits" for CHL.

Firearms are not allowed into the upstairs museum. They don't check you going into the souvenir shop but you cannot go into the museum part. I went there with my police ID and was denied There are metal detectors and you have to clear a guard before being allowed inside. You also cannot bring any cameras into the museum.

I didn't see any signs with 30.06 or anything when i was there a few weeks ago, but there are metal detectors

Who owns the museum?

The museum is owned by The Sixth Floor Museum.  I'm not sure is the own or lease the Book Suppository Building.

Oh, and as of 5 weeks ago, they still had 30-06 signs at the entrance.

I've been there(w/P226).  Don't ask, don't tell.  Best time is during the week.  Pretty slow.
