lol.
If your speaking to me- The last header I made for a turbo car was completely made of 2" inconel tubing. Sounds like I need to call up and inquire about some 1.5 or 2 inch round stock. Oh you did see all the posts about 'Revocable Trusts for NFA' over in the M16 forum, right? But I dont think you're talking to me.............. |

the sun will come out, tomorrow, tomorrow.....
looks like we know who won. TXL |

At this moment, I wish three of my ribs and a couple of vertebrae were made of inconel. TRG |

Oh yeah? www.everything2.com/index.pl?node_id=1347989 Iconel is a Nickel (~75%) and Chromium (~15%) alloy. It is useful because of its high corrosion resistance at high temperatures and its high tensile strength. Because of this it is used in high-temperature applications such as nuclear engineering, rocket engines, industrial furnaces, and chemical and food processing. nucnews.net/nucnews/2004nn/0403nn/040303nn.htm Discussing Iconel 600's tendency toward stress corrosion cracking, Levine said, "We're aware of the problem, and we look for it." Dricks said that the NRC also is aware of the problems with Iconel 600 and has mandated that plant operators regularly test components made of it. www.delamare.unr.edu/webdb/eprisearchs.asp?p_subject=Iconel%20alloys EPRI Subject Search Results Search Results for "Iconel alloys" Subject: Iconel alloys Prepared By: Westinghouse Electric Corporatoin Title: Corrosion Evallluation of Thermally Treated Alloy 600 Tubing in Primary and Faulted Secondary Water Environments. So you found the 5 misspellings on the internet, from ridiculously obscure websites?
Google search for Iconel
Hmmmm....... Google search for Inconel
So there are 607 sites with misspellings of Inconel (mostly from south america).... and 467,000 hits with the correct spelling. You were saying?
Hmmm... looks like these guys have the trademark on the metal in question - let us see what they say: www.specialmetals.com/index.htm
Just going to have to fork over the $20. Do I need to gather written statements from every supressor manufacturer, stating (if they even use Inconel) how they spell it? I wonder if this guy's wheelchair is made of Inconel? |
On this same website - they have it spelled Inconel... then the footnote says "Iconel" This discounts them as a reliable source... since they cant even be consistent with the spelling. www.chesterton.com/products/mp/product/default.asp/product/16001601 Next? |

Falcon. Next? |
What? With no Photon Torpedoes? Falcon has two turrets. One on top, one on bottom. With these two turrets you think they can engage the Enterprise? The Falcoon is a bag of bolts that Han could barely keep moving. How many times did it break down? The Enterprise has a full crew that can beam aboard the Falcon at any time to attack the crew while they are being overwhelmed by the engagement with the Enterprise. Dummy. TRG |

Hmmm.... that link has ONE (mispelled) listing for "Iconel", and on the same page, ELEVEN correct spellings for "Inconel". What exactly was your point? |
Han Solo always finds a way when engaged by a larger opposing force. Shit, he helped blow up the Death Star..... (yes, I know he didnt fire the actual shot which hit the reactor, but the Falcon covered the Xwing which did fire the fatal shot) The Death Star is an Enterprise times eleventy billion.... with a much bigger primary weapon, tractor beams, etc. The Socialist Enterprise is no match for the the cunning and bravery of the Capitalist Millenium Falcon. Duh. |
So, are you arguing that the Falcon is superior or that Han is superior? As for mispelling of inconel/iconel, you are simply wrong. TRG |
