I heard from someone in Gorman today that it was 2 miles from town and the fire was 25 miles long?  They were told to evacuate last night.  Has anyone heard any new news since 1 pm today?  I can't get him to answer.  He said the Air Guard and Forest servicxe was dipping water from lake Leon with choppers and airplanes today to try to slow it down.  I had dinner in downtown Gorman Saturday night at the steak house as I was leaving the deer lease.  I hope the best for Gorman as the peanut farmers have been hit hard the last 2 years with the loss of government subsidies and the peanut mill closing ion town. The schools lost half the kids as families had to move away to find jobs.

God Bless Gorman and the other affected towns.
