No time to watch cable (State Officer, Air Guard, business owner, Class 3 FFL/SOT, father of 5 y/o daughter, and live in a 125 y/o Victorian house so there's ALWAYS something to do) so no sense spending the money for it. Don't get me wrong, it would be nice to watch some of the shows and sports on cable but it's just not worth it to me right now.
On my way home from work yesterday I listened to when the game was on and once I got home we had to go to church and our daughter wanted to listen to one of her CD's in the car, didn't know who won the game until this morning when I seen it in the newspaper. No Trans Am on bricks in the yard but I do have a '66 GTO in the garage that does have a full tank of Premium AND a good battery just waiting for Spring to arrive...along with the '85 Yamaha Vmax sitting next to it. Redneck definitely goes this far NORTH as I have a '85 M1010 CUCV military 4X4 ambulance sitting in the driveway connected to a block heater and 1,200 pounds of water softener salt bags in the back just waiting for a snow storm so I can go out and play. My in-laws farm and live only 6 miles away so it's handy for when I go shooting the machineguns or just plinking, redneck qualities as well although no one on either side of the family lives in a trailer.
I'm familiar with you rednecks down there in Fart Worth as my parents have a place in Granbury on the lake and season tickets to the Texas Motor Speedway. Grew up going to the Fort Worth area a LOT when I was younger when my grandparents lived on Lake Granbury...BBQ at Angelo's (back when there was sawdust on the floor but they still have the same damned stuffed bear inside the door), seafood at Second Edition, Fort Worth Zoo, Whataburger, Billy Bob's, Spaghetti Market (or Warehouse?) and so on.
See you next year...if it's on cable I'll try to make it to a Sports Bar and watch the game!
