So my wife gives me a $400 gift card for Academy.  Should I get a kayak for fishing or a gun or other?

I have a combined total of 225$ from family members and the office Christmas party  I'm waiting for those "after Christmas sales" flyers to show up today.

Thats what I was gonna say.

That'd be like nearly 5K of blazer 9mm.

Yeah, but I don't do 9MM!  I was thinking of getting either a Frenzy for yakking out shark baits and occasionally bay fishing, or a 3 1/2" Mag shotgun to finish the season, maybe a new rifle to take to Alaska.  Of course the card would only help with the price.

A CZ75 for $404.00. Then go buy your 9mm Blazer.

tell her to get a refund and give you the cash. Bass pro has some nicer kyaks... --I've looked. I want one too!

This is where the Visa debit cash cards come in handy....

come to think of it.... depending on how the wife is usually, go for a new gun. This way, it was her idea cus she gave you the gift card. You can always buy ammo or anything else later on-- most guys have issues with the wives complaining how you have enough guns, that rusted SKS is fine, you don't *need* an AR, etc.

They have great deals on gun safes.

Actually she doesn't care at all about having so many guns.  As long as I buy them with saved money, not needed money.  She knows how much I like to hunt and she likes to shoot them too.  She buys clothes and candles, I buy guns.  The Kayaks are calling me though....

The Academy stores around here sell Bushmasters for under $900.00, so if you're not opposed to adding a little to that gift......

That's what I'm doing. Means longer camping trips on Village Creek and harassing Red Drum in Keith Lake.
