Any good shooting ranges (handgun indoor) up here by The Woodlands, TX? I'm new to the area. Also do they allow pistol caliber carbines in there? Thanks!

There is one in Conroe on 105 West, I think it is called shooter's station. There are also a couple of outdoor ranges (thunder range in FM 1314, and Gun Emporium outdoor range in Conroe.

I only shoot outside since shooting an AK indoors is something similar to the end of the world, so I go to Carter's Country in Spring or Gun Emporium on 2854. Here's the ranges I've managed to find:

Thunder Gun Range
17234 fm 1314
Conroe, TX 77301
281-429-7138
Haven't been there. Outdoor, up to 200 yards. $7.50/gun/person.

Gun Emporium
11400 FM 2854
Conroe, Texas
936-441-4040
Outdoor, up to 200 yards, all covered benches. Fairly decent store. $5/gun. Was nowhere near as busy as Carter's when I was there and the regulars/employees seemed friendly.

Shooter's Station
13748 Hwy. 105 W
Conroe, 77304
409-588-3333
Haven't been here, but it's an indoor range and reportedly has a decent store.

Carter's Country
6231 Treaswig Rd
Spring, 77373
281-443-8393
Up to 100 yards (200 yard range is closed thanks to developers), about $7/gun/person if I remember right. I usually buy ammo with the range fee, so I'm not sure. Tends to be very busy and not everyone is particularly fun to be around.

If you want someone to shoot with, let me know. I'm due east of the Woodlands and try to shoot every weekend. I could use some .357 practice, too

shooter's station is pretty nice, they allow you to shoot your own ammo indoors with rifles

Thanks, sounds great. I'll shoot you an IM next time I head up there!
