Ok, I'm trying to find if anyone possibly in the Houston area has silver bear 5.45x39 ammo.  All I've found is Wolf at Jim Pruett's and Fountain Firearms.  The only other store I've called is Collector's and they didn't have any.  I'm not going to call carter's (unless you know better than I do) because when I was at the one on Treschwig the other day, the main owner said he had never heard of 5.45x39!  

Kinda desperate this weekend to shoot some through my newly scoped 74.  Have plenty of wolf, but Silver Bear (the small amount I initially had) gave much much tighter groups.

any other suggestions would help.

Try the High Caliber show in Pasadena the weekend of Oct. 8-9
I usually make these shows because they sell ammo.

buy in bulk and KEEP Plenty on hand

Don't know about the ammo, but LMK if you go shoot this weekend; I may try to join you.

ETA - You may want to try Gander Mountain; their prices aren't cheap, but they have pretty good selection.
