Maybe this time no Glocks will fire in the main room and no Glock's will be stolen of a private seller's table!
I wish all a successful time.

The market Hall show last weekend had a great success so I am sure it will carry over.  they had attendance of 150% of a normal show per the president.

I bet they do as well in Frisco this weekend with their show.  It was a hoot the last time and I enjoyed the discounted attendance from the fellow ARfcomer. matt I beleive was his name.

See ya'll there.

Anyone know if there will be vendors at the show with Arms, Troy, or Larue rear iron sites? I'd like to get my hands on a couple of these different brands, preferably before I choose one.

I own a Kimber Ultra CDPII and I really like it, I also have 3 SA fullsize pistols. I dont have a 4 inch 1911 so I have no experience with them. YMMV

Take a look at the S&W 1911 line. I've been very pleased with the 2 I have
Had several Kimbers and all were shooters - just picky about which mag and/or ammo worked with which one
Oilfieldtrash - over and out...

Legs,
I have several Kimbers, one Springfield, and one Wilson Combat.  Of the three the Wilson Combat is the superior weapon.  However, the Kimbers are very close in performance to my Wilson(4" CQB)......so close that it's hard to justify the price difference(approximately $1K versus $1800 and change).  Of the Kimbers, the ones out of the custom shop are superior to the regular production models, but they cost more.  Kimber also has some interesting new models(Raptor, etc.).  After all this is said, my daily carry weapon is my CQB.
I don't know if this helps, but I thought I would relay my experience with the 1911 design.  I love the design and wouldn't carry any other kind.
         Peace,

i am new to gun shows and i am looking for a larue 12.0 FF, a bipod, and maybe a BUIS.  is it worth the gas money and admissions fee to go to the gun show or would i be better off ordering from a dealer online and having them shipped (free) to me?

Most of the time you will find the best price and selection online.  The main area of savings is ammo.  Cheaper at the shows.

The big reason I buy at shows are:

1.  I can physically examine the products, see how they fit and feel.
2.  I can get it right now, that day.
3.  I support local dealers, and in turn ensure gun shows will be around.  I like going, even if I dont need or buy anything.

This was a good show.  I picked up a couple holsters (I get to see how MY guns fit them, and how they feel and perform BEFORE I purchase) and I picked up 1k rounds of .223 Wolf for practice, much cheaper than I can find it online.  Also grabbed a few ammo cans, and other misc stuff I needed, but always forget to order.

Well, I had a good time at the show!  CnL picked up a couple of things, and I walked away with an adapter I needed for my bipod on the AR, a light, a holster, a lifetime NRA membership, and a sweet little XD 9mm sub compact!

The Big Guy had to go right to work from the show, but I managed to take my new baby to the range for a little quality time together this afternoon!  I LOVE it!  Can't wait til we go back to the range tomorrow!

The same thing can be said for those of us in the North Texas area, ie: McKinney, Plano, Allen Sherman, Denison.  Where you guys have the Mkt/H, B/T,  etc shows, its nice to have a venue more "convenient" to us for a change.

Nah.   You guys don't need a more convenient location

1K of 55gr .223 Wolf was $109 plus tax, which made it around $117 total.  Online, shipped, it is around $139 to your door.  So thats a 16% savings to pick it up at the show.

They all had a bunch of Wolf (among others) 7.62x39 for $99/k
