OK, since the old thread, started by Voldermortist, has disappeared, I am stating anew.
Date: 9-5-2005 (Labor Day) Time: Around 12:00 Noon Place: 338WinMag's acres outside of Liberty ALL THE Photos on my webpage! Here are some photos: OK, everyone knew this one was going to make the cut! The redneck mobile with the Mk1 shade provider device deployed Lil' NFA_Investments shooting the .44 mag cannon Bullets do go through trees! |
No problem. I have a bunch to send out. I will be sending them all next week. |
"There will be a BBQ."
Does mean that someone will be bringing the actual grill - all we need to beign is the meat? CMOS |
I beleive that to be the case.
Also, we need to discuss an alternate location for us to gather at if 338WinjMag's place is inundated under water from rains. I suggest that we gather at the Impact Zone as an alternate rally point if "the Place" is under water. |
damn i have to work
tagged for what i have no idea yet but till then......... |
+1. you bringing the shade, dude? I'm bringing my brandnew folding chair I bought at academy. cost $20. =] and bringing 2k rounds of ammo plus two guns(wish I had more, but everyone will be welcome to shoot em if they want ). |

I'll prolly bring some hotdogs and brautwurst with me. some saurkraut and other goodies. |
I'm still not sure of my work schedule since there have been a few folks move on to
other positions and we are a little short on help. Hopefully, I can make it. I even think I remember how to get there. |
I am trying to talk the Lovely Mrs. Cody into bringin her gun collection out!
gotcha |
338winmag need anymore targets? We have 1/4 in steel that is scrapped all the time. I can
try and have some cut. What are the dementions of your targets? Let me know. Randy |

Will we be shooting in the same location? I might bring a dolly for my stuff this time.
I am bringing some n00bs out to the shoot. Will anyone be bringing any class 3 toys? |
Within 50 yards or so. I think you will like this place better. More shade. |
STUPID question! bring some good 9mm if you want to shoot mine! |
MP5?????? CMOS |
I'll tell them to bring Winchester white box. NFA said he probably won't make it, so I was worried that I wouldn't be able to get my full-auto fix. |
Please E-mail directions to me also. Thanks. |
Done. |
I'll take a set of directions too, if you don't mind. I'm not completely sure whether I'll be able to make it, but if I'm free that day, I'll come by. I'll have to get some more ammo anyways.
I'm going to leave around 0900 if anyone wants to convoy out.
Now, for those of you who know me, that means that the red-neck mobile will be leaving around 1000 or 1030. |
i'll be hitching a ride, but if others need a ride and know the way, they're free to hitch a ride with me, I'll take my truck instead, so long as they go back to houston with me so I can find my way home. *has a HORRIBLE sense of direction and gets lost very easily* I also panic when I get lost. |
I live in the NW 1960/249. I can carpool with anyone coming from my area.

Hey, about the grill: Is this a gas grill or do we need to bring some Kingsford for the meat???
Just checkin'. Hate to get out there and have to eat raw burger patties. CMOS |
I think I got something to burn in it around here. |
don't worry, we'll have fun for ya |
another set of questions.
Are mosquitos a big problem? Is it not smart to wear shorts? -mark |
It's been dry, so mosquitos are not really a problem. You will always find a few back there, but it is not infested with them right now.
You can get away with shorts back there if you are careful. There are some briars. There is a little bit of mud, at least there was sunday. Any other questions, just ask away. |
thanks. I ask about shorts, because of the intense heat that most likely will be present come monday. Mud's not a problem will bring back up boots/socks if need be . Also, are any folding tables needed? I think I might be able to borrow one or two, will definately be able to bring some lawn chairs. What else am I forgetting or would you recommend? oh and of course a cooler with plenty of refreshments. |
We probably won't need any tables. We will have tailgates that will serve the purpose. A chair or two might be nice. I am going to bring a couple of grills back there with me. So, if you want something to eat, you might bring it. Bring lots of bubbly hydration. |

338,
It's really nice of you to have all of us up at your place. Thank you for the hospitality. CMOS |
+1 |
is anyone bringing food to grill?
meaning, what specifically if you are bringing meat, so that I don't bring something that someone else is planning on bringing. -mark |
I was planning on grilling some tofu and organic vegetables.
Actually, my drill instructor requested that I do another brisket. Since she doesn't read this, I can put stuff like this here. |
Mouser, I think most folks are going to bring stuff for themselves, for the most part. However, a little extra won't hurt. I'm just going to bring some burgers, chips and drinks. CMOS |
Should I bring 7.62x39 or 5.45x39? I don't own either caliber of rifle. But was hoping someone there might.
CMOS, guess I'll just bring whatever I want to eat |
i'm going to bring some cokes, beer, hotdogs, brauwurst and all the toppings for them. I'll cook some of those up. I'll bring one pack of weenies for anyone who wants any. I'm planning on bringing about 20 hotdogs and 10 brautwurst. Not bringing as many as I did to the last one. Every time I bring excess food or beer hardly anyone eats or drinks it. so......
anyhow.. good food. |
Is anybody from the Dallas area planning on attending this shoot? I am in the process of buying a holster from a guy up there, and am hoping to set up a FTF transaction and transportation.
Thanks, John |
