"There will be a BBQ."

Does mean that someone will be bringing the actual grill - all we need to beign is the meat?

I beleive that to be the case.

Also, we need to discuss an alternate location for us to gather at if 338WinjMag's place is inundated under water from rains.

I suggest that we gather at the Impact Zone as an alternate rally point if "the Place" is under water.

I'm still not sure of my work schedule since there have been a few folks move on to
other positions and we are a little short on help.

Hopefully, I can make it.

I even think I remember how to get there.

I'll tell them to bring Winchester white box.  NFA said he probably won't make it, so I was worried that I wouldn't be able to get my full-auto fix.

I'll take a set of directions too, if you don't mind. I'm not completely sure whether I'll be able to make it, but if I'm free that day, I'll come by. I'll have to get some more ammo anyways.

I'm going to leave around 0900 if anyone wants to convoy out.

Now, for those of you who know me, that means that the red-neck mobile will be leaving around 1000 or 1030.

i'll be hitching a ride, but if others need a ride and know the way, they're free to hitch a ride with me, I'll take my truck instead, so long as they go back to houston with me so I can find my way home.

*has a HORRIBLE sense of direction and gets lost very easily*

I also panic when I get lost.

another set of questions.

Are mosquitos a big problem?

Is it not smart to wear shorts?

It's been dry, so mosquitos are not really a problem.  You will always find a few back there, but it is not infested with them right now.

You can get away with shorts back there if you are careful.  There are some briars.  There is a little bit of mud, at least there was sunday.

Any other questions, just ask away.

thanks.

I ask about shorts, because of the intense heat that most likely will be present come monday.

Mud's not a problem will bring back up boots/socks if need be .

Also, are any folding tables needed?  I think I might be able to borrow one or two, will definately be able to bring some lawn chairs.  What else am I forgetting or would you recommend?

oh and of course a cooler with plenty of refreshments.

We probably won't need any tables.  We will have tailgates that will serve the purpose.  A chair or two might be nice.
I am going to bring a couple of grills back there with me.  So, if you want something to eat, you might bring it.  Bring lots of bubbly hydration.

Actually, my drill instructor requested that I do another brisket.

Mouser, I think most folks are going to bring stuff for themselves, for the most part.  However, a little extra won't hurt.

I'm just going to bring some burgers, chips and drinks.

i'm going to bring some cokes, beer, hotdogs, brauwurst and all the toppings for them. I'll cook some of those up. I'll bring one pack of weenies for anyone who wants any. I'm planning on bringing about 20 hotdogs and 10 brautwurst. Not bringing as many as I did to the last one. Every time I bring excess food or beer hardly anyone eats or drinks it. so......
