The following House bills moved through the Senate Committee process toward final passage.  They need your help.   Only one week left!  Call your State Senator and urge him or her to support the pro-Second Amendment, pro-Concealed Carry Legislation listed below:

HB 823 by Rep. Terry Keel (R-Austin) Senate Sponsor: Senator Juan Hinojosa (D-McAllen) clarifies "traveling" for Texans, Law Enforcement, and the Courts.  Roll back 100 years of "gun control"!

HB 1038 by Rep. Carl Isett (R-Lubbock) Senate Sponsor: Senator Kim Brimer (R-Ft. Worth) will allow Texas seniors over the age of 60 to renewal their concealed handgun license for 50% of the current renewal fee.  

HB 1483 by Rep. Stephen Frost (D-Atlanta) Senate Sponsor: Senator Kevin Eltife (R-Tyler) makes it more convenient for Texans to pay for their concealed handgun license by allowing DPS to accept personal checks, cash or credit cards in payment for a CHL.  HB 1483 also lowers the fee charged to modify or change your CHL from $25 to $10.  

HB 3386 by Rep. Robert Talton (R-Deer Park) Senate Sponsor: Senator Ken Armbrister (D-Victoria) was heard today in Senate Natural Resources.  This bill amends the Wildlife Code to correct in statute that CHL's may carry legally on land managed by the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA).  This is the clarification needed for CHLs and instructors.
