[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Anyone interested in camping at Enchanted Rock??

We tried to do this earlier this year, but for reasons I don't remember it was cancelled. I know schedules are tight, but now it the BEST time of year to camp in Central Texas.

There is only 1 open weekend between now and Gunstock 10/6-8 (10/2 is the RO class, and 10/15-17 is GS...) 10/22-24, and possibly the BEST one would be HALLOWEEN weekend 10/29-31.

Anyone????

I don't think the Park Rangers would be very happy if we decided to shoot up the surrounding area.

I know you can CCW if you have your CHL though...

Enchanted Rock is a great place. Last time I went there was in March with my then-girlfriend. She had so much fun I got to slam her like a screen door for the first time when we got back that evening!

Well, I don't know about the others, but I would kinda like to see a pic of your ex-girlfriend before I've committed to anything!

Y'all got a reservation? That place fills up fast! They even close the park when they have a certain # of people inside and won't open until a certain # leave. Be sure and check out the "A" cave and the top of buzzards roost.

edit: Not Buzzards roost, Turkey peak.
