I highly recommend the Wichita Mountains in Oklahoma.
Close to Lawton. I have been rock climbing and camping the too many times to remmember. 59,020 acres!!! Primitive camping as well as regular camp sites. Its about a 3 hour drive from DFW. southwest.fws.gov/refuges/oklahoma/Wichita/index.html    |

No 4x4 allowed. Foot hill trails are great.
There is no way you will see all of them in one trip. When are you going ? I would be up for another trip there as well. Haven't checked my mail yet. |
