I was wondering if there might be enough people interested in a group buy for Benelli Special Purpose shotguns?  The model number 20051, Nova receiver with 18.5" barrel, 5 round tube(2 rd extension available), ghost ring sights, no pistol grip, cylinder bore.  The MSRP is $335, some of the Dallas dealers at the gun shows list them for $290.
 We'd have to get enough people to make it attractive for the dealer to lower the price and hopefully convince them that we'd pick them up at one of the shows.  I won't be going to the Hun Farm this weekend so I'll be able to go to the FtW show and ask the 3-4 large dealers and all the smaller dealers that I know if they'd do it.
 Oh, I forgot, in the Benelli Nova manual, the barrel is easy to remove and Benelli does have individual barrels with interchangeable choke tubes available.

IF I get a job sometime in the near future, I *may* be able to get in on it. I'm certainly interested, but I just need a little time to get some spare change saved up and whatnot.

 I checked a couple of dealers at the FtW gun show today.  Bachman has the lowest price, $290...they are selling them for 5% over cost.  The list price and the gun show price over the cost is going to make it unlikely they'd budge, no matter the quantity.  

  More than one dealer was interested in being the FFL on group buys where the profit margin would be more attractive.  One said he'd be able to get the Chinese Ithaca 37 reproductions to us for close to $100, but we'd have to have quite a few people buying.
