Sometime within the next few hours a pair of F-15s will be flying VR43. They don't plan on being too low. Just burning off some gas on the way back to Langley after flying the combat air patrol around Camp David.
Will be north to south between these points.

Lots of low level flying through the MNF. I think it's an Air Force LL route out of Seymour Johnson, but what I mostly see down low is Navy/Marine. Used to be crazy at night when the A-6 was flying.
I think I read somewhere they were supposed to enlarge another area in there for the Langley F-22s also. |

F18’s are a daily occurrence over Pocahontas county. The coolest one was an A-6 (I think) that was crazy low over my place years ago, it was like the air was crackling for a couple minutes after it went by.

Yeah, when the A-6 was flying in there at night it was fun. We used to be walking back to camp after dark in archery season and they'd fly right down the FS road just above the trees. It would scare the shit out of you because you only had about two seconds of intake noise before they were on you.  The F-18s now days don't get that low and rarely at night. |

Had a C17 flying over and low doing touch and go's yesterday. It was pretty cool!
