Go to the dmv or call them. Do you have a police report or anything?

I don't have the police report or a death certificate yet. Should have the latter in a couple of days. I'm thinking that any visit without documentation will be a waste. Thanks for the condolences. He was a good dad to his 5 year old daughter.

Sorry for your loss.
I would just throw the notice from the DMV away. Deal with real issues, and that's not one of them. |

I would send a brief letter back to the DMV explaining the situation. That way you don’t have to go there and wait in line.
