My barber explained something interesting to me a few years ago ( he was a local councilman for a few years before he got sick of it ). One of the ways Democrats beat the pants off the opposition is for the
Democrat Power Brokers ( Norcross, Sweeney and one other Douche, his name escapes me ) is to approach and offer Republican Candidates lifetime government jobs and bennies such as local Judges or some other high positions in government with strings attached,
the Candidates bite and remove themselves from political races for the rest of their careers. He said many good Republican Candidates took the bait even before they made their intentions to run for office,  apparently the Dems know who has the capability to win elections here in NJ.
