I know this topic seems ridiculous but I have seen many videos were a lot of people have ranges set upin their backyard basically. And knowing that New Jersey has a lot of open space farmland, I am curious if there are any towns that would allow you to set up a range in your backyard. Obviously given the proper space and backstop. My flamesuit is on ready for you guys to light me up.

Yes,  I live just outside of New Gretna on 3 connecting lots totaling 32.5 acres surrounded on two sides by state land.  Washington township (Burlington) is around 100 square miles with about 6 hundred inhabitants.  There are at least five private gun/hunting clubs with ranges (all always looking for members) and I know of 7 people other than myself with ranges on their property.  The sound of gunfire is more common that that of a barking dog.
