Short story without getting this locked before it should.

I'm watched this show while on the treadmill. They are talking about Salladin's response to Raynald of Châtillon attack on a Muslin caravan by cutting off all the heads of the "best" of Raynald and Guy of Lusignan soldiers when captured. Guy was spared as "kings do not kill kings."

OK- nothing much said than that.

When King Richard captures Acre(?) with 2200 of Salladin's soldiers and can't negotiate "fair" settlement to his judgment, he cuts of all of their heads. NOW this is a big deal, they have 3 speakers/writers address the wisdom of this. The Muslims are to this day outraged.

When Salladin takes Jerusalem, a "fair" settlement is bargained for surrender; no one is harming the other, just "get the fuck out." Salladin comes into Jerusalem. The Muslims take the CROSS off of the top of the mosque replace with the crescent and moon. The CROSS is dragged through the streets.

Bottom line: Don't burn the Koran, because they never trampled the CROSS? It's OK for Muslims to behead and not get slammed. And "Muslims NEVER for get the FIRST Crusade and talk about it like it was last week" <- quote from Muslim writer.

Like I said this wasn't posted to piss off or insult anyone, it is a statement of fact. "Just sayin'."

Interesting how that works, huh? It`s like comparing the conduct of Republicans and Democrats. What`s a mortal sin for the Republicans is OK for dems. Just saying.
