It's not been put in your restricted sites has it?  Tools - internet options - security- restricted sites.  I had a problem a while back where nearly all my dot com sites were added to the restricted list.

I used to have problems at home whilst using IE, I now use Mozilla firefox and it's fine.

Does your browser except Cookies?, that can sometimes be a problem, if your system has a function to turn them off, switch back to except Cookies.

First test I would do as a computer techie is installing Firefox or Opera as they are better browsers and try accessing AR15 from there.

Are you able to view any other sites at your home?  Seems strange AR15 is just blocked.

Are you using ZoneAlarm as your firewall, as I have seen it do funny things like this in the past with other sites.

Plenty of good advice here - especially ditching IE in favour of Firefox...

Can you get AR15.com by it's IP address of 69.95.2.67? (just type the numbers in place of the web address - no www needed.)

If you stick with IE, you can try resetting the security zones back to default, or resetting the whole of IE.

If you are using a router, then some can be set to block 'unwanted' sites - so it's worth checking that as well. This is especially important if you are using AOL, BT or one of the other 'family friendly' ISPs that decide what's best for you to see.

If you are using some sort of software firewall or something like Norton Internet Security then disable it. I find they are more trouble than they are worth. (They are even less useful if you have a router.)

Tried again last night, reinstalled IE7 - no joy.  Installed Firefox - no joy.  Tried using a different laptop via wireless router - no joy.  Seems that either AR15.com is blocking my ISP or my ISP is blocking AR15.com.  Any ideas on what to do next, I don't thing it is a software problem.  I'll try connecting via the hardwired broadband next but I'm beginning to think that the problem is not at my end.

Tried logging in to the router and checking in there for blocked sites? (It should be a webpage on 192.168.1.1 & the username and password are both 'admin' if it's set at the default values.)

If it's an XP PC try this: Open a command window (Start / Run / type 'cmd' / click ok). In the text window that should have opened type 'tracert www.ar15.com' or 'tracert 69.95.2.67' and the press enter. Post the results back here....

Ne'er a truer word spoken
I'm sat here at home while the plasterer's doing the bathroom ceiling (after the leak) and am just occupying myself by farting about on the internet.

Haven't bought anything yet.....although some bumf from Virgin media has just dropped thru the door....and you all know my talktalk is fubar.
Packages look very tempting

must resist, must resist.

......go on, you know you want to.....................

I have a similar problem - I can see the site from home, but not work.

Even using the same PC which I take with me, AR15.COM is just not accessible.  tracert just stops somewhere in the middle.

I've never really bothered to try to solve it, since I shouldn't be using the site at work anyway ;)

Can't get access with any of the alternative web addresses probably because the IP is the same.  Don't know whether my ISP is blocking my access from home of whether AR15.com is blocking my PC IP.
