You all have hearts the size of Texas.  All of this support has left me dumbstruck.  

Through the selfless efforts of so many here, an enormous weight has been lifted from my shoulders.  I am forever grateful and indebted.

I will keep everyone posted on my progress along the way with periodic updates.  The Veteran's Hospital plans on relocating me to another part of the country for the actual surgery.  I'm not sure where they will choose but their options are Portland, Oregon, Richmond, Virginia, Memphis, Tennessee, or Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  

The VA has done a wonderful job taking care of me.  I've heard many horror stories about their poor management and disregard of veterans' well being but I am happy to report I have not witnessed anything of the sort during my months of treatment.  They get an A+ from me.

By the way, I'll do my best trying to convince the doctors to take pics of the transplant.  I think the biggest obstacle will be getting them to add a firearm, stapler, spare mags, measuring device and a pint.
