You take a 'Sick Day' when you talk to the Boss, and 'Throw a sickie' when talking to everyone else
 As in, 'I think I'll throw a sickie tomorrow'..... Although my prference is for Friday as my Pre-planned Sick Leave  ANdy |

My brother in law works for the local council collecting rubbish and he's allowed to take "power naps" twice a week...... this involves him coming home and having a kip on the sofa for a couple of hours......
