I've never reloaded bottleneck cartidges before (only straight wall pistol) and I've just bought some new unfired Lapua brass for my .308 Sako.

Do I have to do anything to it before priming, dumping powder and seating the head?

Do I have to measure and trim all the cases to length, chamfer the necks, etc or just go for it ???

Thanks
Bottleneck

I'd run the cases through a sizing die to straighten out the case mouths.

That's the least of the case prep actions required

Don't foget you'll need to lube the cases...

a check of case length and a possible trim might be in order.
