Back folks… rained like buggery in Laterbrunnen and got flooded out again so no shooty this year…


…high tide silt mark were the river paid a 'house call'…

Went south over the Susten Pass and saw this Swiss Army shooting point… you really would not want to come to Switzerland as an 'uninvited guest'… along that entire pass at all the choke points they have Fig Targets placed and shoot at them from across the valley…


There is a bridge just at the edge of the frame…

…nice range though…


…nice field of fire, and this position can't be be outflanked unless you are a mountain goat with a jet pack…

Got up a glacier though…

…but Mrs Vito has banned any more 'Swiss extreme mountain driving'…lots of terrified yelps from the passenger seat.


10k+ feet, above the snow line, in the clouds, driving rain and an umpteen thousand feet drop off…

Very good!  did better than I usually do, (Mrs Vito; "are you lost"?, Me; "No, I'm taking the scenic route").  Went all the way from Susten in the south of Switzerland to Calais without putting a foot wrong, even when going through Basel's subterranean road system, mucho impressed.

Even more impressed when Mr Silly found himself on the M25 at 2AM last night running on fumes, (must remember, the yellow light means 'fill up', not 'think about it') and I was able to tell it to find me the nearest petrol station and it did, saved me a serious handbagging.

Top of the Furka… could be the Valleys on one of their very rare dry days…

Mind you… even in the middle of nonewere you can rely on a biker to find a 4x4 to headbut…


Bunch of bikers came haring downhill on the racing line at Andermatt, unfortunately the guy in a jeep going up wasn't playing, efficient buggers the Swiss though, had the biker airlifted out and the road open in 20 minutes.


Where I stayed was grim though… couldn't wait to leave…

No  Swiss sheep pictures for you Taff, but the guy who owned the field next door kept camels… no beauties I know, but more exotic than your average Brecon ewe.
