here's a bit of gun porn for you guys. this is a Sten MKII that I'm building from a parts kit. Unfortunately due to the un-constitutional laws in this country I'm forbiden to build it as a full auto, new full autos for untrustworthy plebs like me were banned in 1986.
so the gun is a semi-auto that fires from a closed bolt and with a 16.5" barrel. it still takes down like a normal Sten and is fun to shoot although I haven't been able to bump fire it yet. I'm still debating wheter to finish it in wartime black or to make it OD.

I like it. Still, wouldn't win any beauty contests would it!

Still like it though...

Amazing, they cost $5 to make but you can't get one for less than $4K now thanks to fed.gov. they are ugly but are a vital part of our firearms heritage. I have a Sterling semi that totally kicks it's ass as a shooter.
With a little bit of modification it would be UK legal. all you would need to do is to convert it from blowback to locked breach using the same bolt lock up as your AR15s. since it has no gas system it would in effect then become a SPR. you could also reduce the barrel length or use a suppressed barrel to make a semi MKIIS

It's nice
You could SBR it and cut down the barell length to bring it closer to the original spec (if you are willing to go through the whole NFA thing)

I love Stens, although I guess most soldiers would have ditched it if they "accuired" an MP40

NFA is too much hassle for me, the application process is worse than the FAC I had when I lived in the UK
