Following on from Matt's "Back from the SR Champs" thread, I've decided to start a fresh one and make it a pictorial one.

Bob and I got there on saturday and had the chance to get our zero's and do some practise with our friends in the RAF.
After a full day on the ranges, we went to spectate at the Military FIBUA match.
FIBUA stands for "Fighting in Built Up Area's". In America, it's called MOUT (Military Operations, Urban Terrain)

Practise 3, 100yds standing
5 double exposures of 3 secs up, 2 secs down and 3 secs up, first shot standing, second kneeling

Some people even use wooden guns!!

Next came the 300yd match.
3 different practises, a mixture of deliberate and rapid fire events.







Tuesday was Queen Mary day.
The highlight of this is the dreaded 500-100 rundown
10rds, 2 at each distance. at 500&300 prone, at 400&200 sitting and 100 standing

Wednesday was the Methuen Cup. This is the big event.
35 teams of 6 shooters including 8 Civilian teams.

It must be said that the SA80 is now a fine and reliable weapon.
Also, the accuracy can't be questioned.
The only drawback is the long, heavy trigger pull.......or so I've been told

All in all, a good few days shooting.

(My ankle still aches though from trying to break it in a small ditch on the run-down though...)
