She named him Fred because we have Eeeny, Meeny and Miney.  I told her, "No MO".

Unfortunately, he immediately bonded with me.

Just hope he grows up to bring me doves like the older one.

I feel your pain... I was at work and someone spotted a kitten trapped on the roof of the bank.  They immediately of me, of course, rather than trying to rescue him themselves.  After calling in a few favors with the local police and the bank staff, we coaxed him down, right into my arms.  He immediately started purring...

Ain't feeling no pain.

Just hoping that the male cats will 'accept' him.  This guy is a serious purrbox.

Never knew I would own a black cat, let alone two of them.

damn cats.

i'm a dog person but they have a way of weaseling into your life.
a friend brought by a starved black and white kitten, so far gone he could hardly open his eyes. a can of tuna fixed him right up and he became my best friend. i named him "dorko".

he was on equal terms with our dogs, and woe be unto any other dog who came around our yard, i remember seeing him attached to back of large mutt with his claws, the poor dog howling in terror.

r.i.p. old buddy.

Older and 'wiser'.

I've grown to like the frau's cats.  I like watching them stalk, pounce on and ultimately kill their prey with extreme vengeance.

They are very efficient killers, and can be very loveable.  Especially when the older guy brings me doves.

I think the "older guy" has really hurt the dove population this year.

Don't introduce them immediately. Keep the newcomer separate from the oldsters for  a few days, let the older cats get used to his scent.

The wife took a damp washcloth and thoroughly wiped the new kitten from head to butt.  She then wiped the other cats faces with the wash cloth.

It actually worked.  The other cats have accepted him.
