I shot a bobcat last week and was considering getting it mounted.  It's a fairly small one, obviously a juvenile, maybe about 15-18lbs or so.

Does anybody have any idea what mounting it might cost or where to go who to call?
I'm wanting to get it mounted laying down, but with its head up, kind of like a regular housecat.  That way I can use it to screw with visitors and my wife's cats.

Thanks.

My dad had one mounted a few years ago. Much like the position you mention.

IIRC it was ~$400 or so.

And his cats/dog were scared shitless for it for a few weeks.

I work with a guy who is a great taxidermist, he does it on the side, so don't expect it back fast. But, I'll vouche for his work. He's an artist, does excellent work, and done a hell of a job on my 48lb striper. He really kicks ass on ducks. If you're interested, let me know.  He is in the Hot Springs area.

I caught a baby bobcat opening weekend on my farm.  I figured him to be 6-8 weeks old.  Mom wasn't around so I took some video adn pics and cut him loose.

Initially I caught him by the tail.  I know....catch a tiger by the tail.  But thet tail seemed like the least threatening part and didn't have teeth or claws.

When I cut the little bugger loose he let out a loud shrill cry that sounded a lot like "MOM!!!"  We got scarce after that.
