Ernie was the President of JPPS and a very good man.  He introduced untold numbers of people to the shooting sports and made many people smile and laugh along the way.  He was one of the few truely honest good men left in the world. He lost his long battle with cancer at 8:18 this morning. He will be missed.

Ernie is a great man and friend.  He always had a mischevious twinkle in his eye and he had a way of making everybody feel special and important.  Ernie always listened to different folks ideas as if it was the most important thing he had ever heard, that is one of the many reasons he was such a great leader for our shooting club.  One of my favorite memories of him was selling him one of his first pistols.  I worked with his wife and she bought it for him as a present. It was just a Colt 1991 A1, but he acted like a kid on Christmas morning.

I will miss him, but hopefully just for a short while.
