Either WANT to get or ARE getting...
I've got my name on the list for a Vector Arms V51. Hopefully I'll get it within the next month or two - hate waitin'... I'd like to get a FN Five-seveN, but the whole ammo deal with those keeps scaring me off. |
I am thinking a Bersa Thunder and a stainless SA1911...gonna put 'em on layaway with some tax refund...
Well, I have a good mix of uppers and firearms on my "To acquire" list. Right now they are: Rhineland Arms 5.7 Upper, Lage or TI .22 conversion unit for M11/9, Lage or West Georgia Armory upper for M11/9. FS 2000, possibly a SIG 556 if they ditch the AR stock, if they don't then I won't. Finally, either an AC556 or STEn.
Waiting on a Gem-Tech HALO and a SA XD .45 right now. |
Yugoslavian underfolder AK. If AIM would get their shipment in I could have it anyday.
9mm RRA AR. I should have it before the paperwork is back on my suppressed Buckmark.
I'm mostly fixing up what I got right now. My Recce is in the middle of another makeover and I'm about to start fixing up a 20". Ive got a SW 1911 commander size on layaway at Trents and a suppressed 9mm upper coming, but who knows how long that will take.
I think the only thing I might outright buy for the next few months would be a PS90 or FN2000. Maybe the SIG 556 is they pull their heads out of their ARsses and make it how it should be. And I'm very glad to see some other 5.7 shooters here!!! Cajunboy - you getting a suppresed Buckmark or a suppressor to screw on a buckmark? I have the latter and absolutly love it. |
Springfield XD .45 sounds like a pretty good one. anybody have one and care to give a review?
Ohh baby ohh baby |
I also would like to shoot a XD, I have a few Glock pistols and would like to make a comparision of the two.... but right now I think my next gun might be a sage/springfield M1A, man that new sage stock sure looks COOL !!!

I'm building one right now, I'll probably use a stag upper since I'll be buying a stag lower tommorrow maybe. I've been trying to get a job as an OTR trucker with Schneider for awhile. It's extremely good money and free training. I'm 25, single, and would love to see the country and make good money to do it. I just "did absolutely perfect" according to the lady with the cheesehead accent that did my first phone interview. My second, and last, interview is tommorrow and she let it slip that we'd also set up my date to enter the acadamy. Most of ya'll know that I moved home after my recent divorce, so I don't have many bills at all. I can't carry a weapon with me anyway so I'll let my Glock keep me safe the 2-3 days out of 17 that I'll be home for a few months till I can buy one of these outright along with a lot of other goodies. All depends on how tommorrow goes. It'd be nice to use that 600 I had set aside for the rifle on tattoos

I've been in the market for a nice .22 auto pistol. I have not been able to make my mind up on either a Ruger 22/45 or the Browning Buckmark. I'm wanting a 6"ish barrell and in the bull barrel version.
I know that they are both pretty reliable as far as my research. Any suggestion from those that have them? DK |
Next up is a Service Grade M1 Garand from CMP (will order next week).
Besides that, I am in the market for either a .40S&W or .45ACP. I came across a "deal" on a Hi-Point .40S&W on Friday at a local Jonesboro haunt. Everyone I know that has/had one either love them or hate them. Personally, if it goes "bang", "bangbangbangbangbangbang", it's enough for me. Anyone want to sell off one? |
I have a Buckmark, I wish I had the Ruger in 6 inch HB instead. The Buckmark is louder too.
Well I didn't think I would get a new pistol this quick but I found this cool little Walther P22 and had to buy it today, it will be for my son one day but right now he is only 9 years old but he still likes to shoot it, I think I might buy one with the suppresor for myself...
Cool pic who did you do the paper work threw ? Also what kind of cash did you drop on it, I see Impact Guns had them under $500 but gunsmaerica had them for almost $800....
The P22 cost me (I think) around $235, the suppressor is a Tactical Innovations TAC-64, it cost $135 shipped, with thread adapter. John Norrell in L.R. did the transfer for me. So I've got about $670 in it, and that includes all the hardware, transfer fee, and transfer taxes. It also works well on my 10/22, which has been cut back to 16.25" and threaded. |
Thanks , I need to get in touch with John or Scott and get this going, the last suppressor I did took 9 mounths for the paper work to come back.
One more question, who threded the barrel on the 10/22 for you ? |
Caleb Williams, of Shadow Ops Shop in AL. |
MMmm well it WOULD be a SIG P220 10mm, but SIG never fails to disappoint every year at the SHOT show
I suppose I'm pretty content right now and have mostly already spent my 2006 gun budget |
Wouldn't that be great. Id sell every handgun I won to buy a couple of sigs in 10mm |
Good looking rifle. Are the mags hard to find or can you use 5.45 mags?
Thanks for the compliment. 5.45 mags can be
used if the follower is swapped out with a .223 follower from Robinson Armament. The steel mags as far as I know are only available from Inter-Ordanance. I just ordered a 4 pack for $49.95. Indivdual mags sell for $14.95. |
Is that the one from Greenbrier that was in the paper? How much did it set you back? Nice looking rifle… Sign_Wolfman |
Yep that was the one. He would not budge
on his asking price($400) and I did not haggle too much after seeing what great condition the rifle was in. Now as far as the drive out to Greenbrier and back was a total bitch with the construction work on I-40. Total round trip from Jacksonville took about 3 1/2 hours. |
You should have told me I could have run up there for you. I live a lot closer. Vilonia is only about 20 min. form Greenbrier. Why didn’t you go the back way up 107 and around? It’s a lot quicker than fighting all that “freeway” traffic. I think even if you paid his asking price you got a good deal. Sign_Wolfman |
I agree, most all the SAR 3's & 2's seemed to have dried-up so even finding one is a trick.
I was actually planning on taking the Morgan exit
cutting through NLR and backtracking through Sherwood on 107 but I had my head up my ass and passed the exit. Traffic was at a standstill at Crystal Hill all the way to the I-30 interchange. |
you're supposed to run up 107 to Vilonia and over to Conway on 64. the trip to Greenbriar from my house (on 107 just north of base) takes right at 30 minutes.....legally |

My last gun purchases were (2) M1 Garands and a Thompson Center 22 Classic, and I am working on restoring the Winchester Garand that was one of them. Its worse than buying another gun - I just bought a $250 stock (some stocks were as much as $1,000), and have more parts to buy. After this is done, I will either get me another Garand from the CMP (thinking Collector Grade HRA or Correct Grade HRA) or just sit on some money for a little while. I'm kinda waiting to see if FN is really gonna release the SCAR in civilian form, if not I may get the Robinson Arms XCR.

Short term: pick up 4 AK recievers to build up the kits I have stashed away.
Not as short term: build up a metric FAL to compliment my L1A1, and probably cut it down into a carbine. Longer term: need a subgun. probably an M-11 depending on my job outlook in the coming months. -Spaceman |
I picked up an all USGI Preban Springfield M1A today. Private seller. For less than the price of a parts kit. Now I can stack M1A's!
Was it the one in the paper? |
I'm still looking for the same revolver I've been looking for the past couple of years at least. A stainless Ruger 2-3/4" .357 Speed Six round butt.
Cajunboy: Yes it was in the paper. Were you one of the next 7 in line?
No, I just saw that one morning and thought, "wow, that won't last long" |
My next firearm purchase was the one that I made at lunch today.
A Bulgarian Arsenal SLR95. It is a milled 7.62x39 in the pistol grip configuration and synthetic furniture. I've never owned a milled AK before, but have heard good things about the Arsenal Bulgy's. And yes it was the one that WAS in the paper. I missed the underfolder that was in there, but I wasn't going to miss this one. DK |
I ended up getting a used 226 at the gunshow for 425 out the door. I would have paid 550 for it if he asked. I was happy.
I'm also thinking of a YHM silencer. And I'm about to decided to buy 3-5 lowers to build up quickly and cheaply, in case of a new AWB, or other factors limiting my ability to get them in the future. Just gotta decide if I wanna go Colt, Bushy, RRA or go with the cheaper ones you see on the EE. |
I'd go RRA or "cheap ones found on forum".
Colts are over priced and, well, the whole big pin/small pin thing.... I like Bushy ( one a couple) but again, you can buy others almost 2 to 1 Just my opinion though, and we all know about those... |
Called Vector and the V51's are behind and it's gonna be about 3 to 4 more weeks
