There will be a couple surprises out there this Sunday for those who wish to come out.  I'm not going to spoil the surprise; you'll just have to bring some (non-winchester white box) 9mm and/or .223 and find out for yourself.

Wife and I should be out there around noon; I personally will just be bringing my 870 and some turkey load because apparently i love punishment.

That said...

hope to see a few of you's out there this weekend.    as always, if you need directions drop me a PM or an email.

it's gonna be a thanks to the giffmeister.

oh and g-man--the park isn't actually as bad as i originally thought.  it's still mismatched, but you won't know from more than 5 feet away.  it got darker as the second coat of wd-40 was absorbed.

I think I fell motivated to come, how much 9mm and .223 should I bring.  Other than that, I shot off all my 7.62 last time out, will have to see if I can get anymore in lincoln.  Since I own no 9mm or .223, how much should I buy, and what is a good brand for the wepons you speak of?

most types of ammo should work fine, with the exception of winchester white box.  that ammo has occasionally bad reliability, so avoid it if you can.  the yellow-label UMC stuff seems to be the popular choice.  as for quantity, that's entirely up to you and how much you want to spend/bring along.  i'll be utilizing about 100-125 rounds of 9mm.

Just picked up my ammo for tommarow, damn budget.  Got 60rnds .223 military ammo 55gr.  And 100 rounds 9mm ump yellow box.  And ouch 40 rounds of wolf 7.62 at 5 bucks a box, man that stuff went up.  They had some china sports soft points for 4.49 a box but I did buy any of that.  I need to save up for another case of 7.62 as I bought the last two wolf boxes he had.

I'm going to pass on today's outing.
Rain and hail have been falling since 9am here. Stupid hail is starting to acclumate.

it was a little chilly and breezy out there, but no rain or hail.  the guys with the suppressors and machine guns (the surprises i had mentioned) were big weenies and didn't come out, so we'll have to plan those for another time.

still, a bad day shooting's better than a good day at work (unless you work with firearms all day).

Another fun time at the Hamburg bend.  I think my shoulder will be a little sore tommarow.  The mosin kicked its ass.  Nice purple ak

lol....that mosin is a drop in the bucket compared to an afternoon of patterning turkey shells.

hopefully giff's friends with the happy fun toys will be able to come out on another weekend.  i guess we'll just have to wait until it's sunny, 75*, and no wind.
