I'll be moving back to Kansas as soon as my spring semester is over, close to Ottawa (outside Rantoul for those that know the area).  From what I've seen so far there isn't much in the way of ranges in the area.  I'll be able to shoot, as my family has enough land that I can find a place to set up a range, but I enjoy the company of other shooters almost as much as the shooting.  Anyone know of any ranges/clubs in the Ottawa, Osawatomie, Paola, Wellsville, or Gardner area?  I recall shooting skeet at a range in Gardner 30 years ago, but that's about all I can remember as far as places to shoot!

I, too, have access to personal land for shooting, and have not found anything public in the area (south of Louisburg).  I hear that there is a clays range in Ottawa, but I have not been there.  Whereabouts in Gardner was the range that you shot at in the past?

I'm afraid I can't remember the club, a friend of mine was a member and we used to go up on Sundays and shot a few rounds of skeet then drink beer in the clubhouse.  Pretty non-PC, I would be surprised if the place was still there.  They had a nice skeet set-up and also trap ranges; don't remember if they had a rifle or pistol range, we only shot skeet then.  I do remember seeing a lot of high-dollar shotguns though.
