Young Guns had a note taped on the glass of the pistol counter saying that Koko Head will be closed on weeksays until 4/15.  Anyone know what happened?  Flooding damage or something?

might be the contruction of the archery range is taking longer than expected.

they closed the pistol and rifle sides during construction cause they were gonna use the dirt they dig out of the archery side to refill the backstops on the rifle and pistol ranges.

they were scheduled to have been finished already but i guess the rain has caused a few delays.

It will probably be later than Apr 13 due to the recent weather.

What exactly was wrong with the contour of the terrain in front of the firing line?

There's nothing wrong with it.  They are leveling the ground for the archery range and the extra dirt is going to make the first 10 yards in front of the rifle range firing line less steep.  On the shillouette side of the rifle range this area is quite a drop for some of the old muzzle-loaders to walk down without hurting themselves.

im glad they are filling in the area in front of the benches. that would help make it easier to set up a chronograph.  now if they would make a range closer to central oahu, that would be sweet.

Something east of Waipahu/Waipio/Mililani would be great.

+ 1,000.  However, nf9648, you have that option already.  Join the SR&GC and you can shoot at Puuloa next weekend.  Supposedly, we are also getting some range time on Schofield again next month as well.  Too bad I'll be at NTC.
