Please no bad reviews. If you had one dealer to shop which would it be?
Topic has taken a new direction, not a bad thing. Read on.

I have bought once from Northern Security and it was a top notch purchase.  They had 5 P22's when they first came out at cost and I bought them all.  Otherwise I purchase online only, can't stand most of the ANC shops (bad experiences).

I have done business with great guns also, it's been a few years. Chuck (the owner) is a very nice guy. He has always been very helpful. He is an old S&W guy and has checked out several revolvers of mine (free). He did a set of night sites on a glock for me and took me in the back with him as he did it. I thought that was cool. What's funny is he will remember me if I go in there tomorrow. The guy that was working for him (big Mustache) was kind of a dick. Just food for thought.

Is no one going to mention Neils at Gun Runners? He is a pretty good guy to. I have bought, traded over 6 guns with him and had no bad experiences.

Great Northern Guns are the friendliest gun dealers I have dealt with. I like them. Haven't had any bad experiences with Niels.

Best Ammo prices in town eh. I'm not real crazy about that particular shop but I know he "negotiates". I'm a little light on Ammo. Anyone interested in going halves on a couple thousand .308 ?

All that ammo, guess where he got it?  Or did anyway.  For you looking, I'm going to be placing another bulk order soon.

Sure, why not.  Then a lot of surfing and calls need to be made to get all the calibers from vendors.  AIM and Century are usually my top pics, but I'm not sure of their current inventory.

Post up the prices or PM me,I could probably get a few more people for some 9mm.

MGNIKO

Will this all be surplus or can you get LE ammo?  I have some friends who I am sure would be interested in ordering a case or two of Ranger T or HST or Golden Saber.  Of course they can provide credentials if needed.

I have only purchased surplus ammo in the past, mainly because my main bulk suppliers only have that.  If you want to look around, I can help you arrange transport to ANC and you can get your own order going for LE ammo.  IM me if you're interested.

I'll probably jump in, but it will have to be a little ways off and I'll have to know a little more about the ammo.  I'm normally interested in .223, 9mm, and .45.  I'm loaded up on .308.  This is strange, but if I get a choice I really need some specific bulk .22lr rimfire like say, CCI minimag which come in the 2500rd bulk packs.

Mgniko,

I would like to get 2000 rounds of .223, 1000 rds 9mm, 1000 rds .45acp, maybe more if the price is right and the ammo is a good brand. All I shoot is FMJ. Thanks. Looking forward to your reply.

yep, this is all a ways off unless someone else wants to do all the leg work, I just don't have time right this second (busy real estate season).  The handgun ammo is usually Fiocci or Winchester, just depends on what's available at AIM or Century when I call.  7.62x39 and .223 are usually Wolf.  Brass case .223 is just too spendy & with the amount I shoot I love Wolf.  If someone finds brass case cheap & they'll give a bulk break I'd be interested.  I'm only going to do a big order if the demand is high enough (min of 20 cases each caliber), cause I only get decent price breakes around that cost.

Well, let me know, the best prices I have found in town are at Ammo King/AKshootersupply on Tudor.

On the past bulk orders, general prices were around:
9mm $105
.45 $165
.223 $110
.308$ 140
7.62x39 $80

All 1,000rds per case.  If the supplier has it, you can add on 8mm, 50BMG, ect at your own cost.  Just depends on what's available at the time.
Anyone who wants to get in, regardless if you've posted already, needs to send me an IM with your name, caliber, ect and I'll get a list going.  But if you IM, you need to be serious as I can't stand putting together an order then have people back out at the last minute & screw everyone up.

This thread is dead dude. Just buy it in bulk where you can.

Partially true.  If you don't plan to get a fair amount, just buy 1 case local and save the hassle.  If you're like me and buy 25 cases of each caliber at a time, these orders save mucho $.

Where are you at MGniko? Anchorage? How do we go about picking our ammo up? Could you give me a few more details? I am interested in about 5-8k rounds. Also, is the Wolf the new grey polymer case or do you know yet? Thanks.
Link Posted: 10/22/2004 9:14:51 PM EDT
[#40]
Yes, I'm here in Anchorage.  Generally if someone in the order has a truck, its best to pick up in person near the docks.  If no one has a truck they're willing to volunteer, the freight company can deliver, but IIRC they charge a fee.  I prefer to pick up.
I have not shot the new Wolf stuff yet.  The last bulk order I placed was 6 months ago & I had about 30 cases of the "regular" Wolf.  We can certainly look into it, no problem.  Research here is a good thing & if anyone checks around, please chime in with what you find.  I usually use Century or AIM, but have also bought from others.  It's best to find 1 distributor that has everything....logistics of boxes coming from all over the country play a nightmare on the barge to AK.
Oh BTW, there's nothing wrong with several orders.  If someone finds a smoking deal on BRASS case .223 from a distributor that doesn't have anything else, that's fine as long as we buy enough to make a difference.  Personally if we could find some South African (dreaming I know), real Lake City, ect I'd be in for a good 15-20k.
Same goes with other calibers.  Smoking deals get a bulk order & do 1 caliber at a time.

I'd be in for a few thousand myself for S. African or Lake City.......

Howdy All,
I would be in for a case of 9mm and 2 cases of .223.  Brass .223 would be nice.
let me know when money needs to me sent
