Sounds good to me. Sig40 what pistols are you shooting now? Did you decide on a 1911? I just did a trade for one of my ultra carrys for a Sig 239 in 9mm. Not sure why but I hope I like it. I've never even shot a sig of any kind. Not a real big fan of the 9mm but didn't need two ultra's.

for this house deal and lots of other reasons (face surgery) i thinned my heard out alot . Only Sig I have is my 226 (9mm)which should be back by a sept shoot I hope. got my BHP , my kimber and ordering my Para LTC lightweight. and a few other toys maybe a 22 kit for 1911 would be nice ...maybe 1 rifle ...thinking AR with 16 inch barell. Too bad to hear about the Loss of an ultra

Well, I have enough Kimbers and prefer a fullsize anyways. My other ultra is my carry gun at this time. I will get a bunch of 9mm and try out the sig. Who knows might not like it and trade it off for another 1911.

Well I was hoping you guys would decide that for me I'm not thinking totally clearly at the moment so I hope this all makes sense...I was leaning towards a post-sunset shoot - which would also be right before my birthday. But I read somewhere that AK_Mike might be around in August. Another factor in future shoots will be the cost... For the last one I paid (and WANTED to pay) for the range rental. Another member kicked in and made all the clays and sodas and such possible. I was kicking around the idea of having a shootout fund - charging $15 or so per person and anything extra would go towards supplies for the next shoot (with another member getting copies of reciepts to keep me accountable - I' not trying to make a buck here). This way we could possibly save up enough for prizes or some steel targets or a shot timer or ???. We could also have a regularly scheduled shoot every month, or two months, or summer, or whatever... Anyway, just some ideas I've been kicking around. |

I just picked up my sig 239 and 500 rounds. So I am ready to go with this pistol. Also have 500 .45 sitting here too. I guess I better get more.
edited because it being late.. One of my kids at emerency room with maybe broken bone in foot from SKATE BOARDING. Parents BEWARE. |

Sorry, I've had a lot going on and planning ahead doesn't seem to work out well these days... I thought a sunset shoot would be more popular but with the lack of response, it's probably not worth renting the whole range out this time. Maybe we can just agree to meet on the 19th (Sunday) at Birchwood? I usually try for range C, but you never know what's filled up. Nope. Pretty small turnout this time. Just me, gsxrjason, Knifemaker02, Amazon, and anoher guy I know that I can never remember his screen name. No cameras that I saw, but we had fun. Some full auto and a lot of bump-firing...

Full auto is OK in short bursts. Bumpfiring from the hip will likelyget you booted from the range - depending on who is the RO.
Bumpfiring from the shoulder in bursts would be OK though - probably... At least you look like you are aiming

I got 1k rounds of russian for $125,I was hesitant because of the laquer but it functioned fine with no jams of any kind.Ammo king has some wolf for 158bux for 1k rounds.We need to get a group buy or on some ammo,I would get a couple of cases.
How do you bump fire from the shoulder? |
