Need some help...
If I have a mount with 20 MOA built in and I forget that and center up the crosshairs in the scope by counting, will I be hitting 20 MOA high or low?
Not being able to get my mind around it right now.
High? Correct?

Burris PEPR QD today, crosshairs centered.
Hit right at 20" high at 100 yards.
According to Burris site, the model number I ordered does not have the built in 20 MOA, but that doesn't mean the one that came in the package wasn't the one that did.
All good as once I found where the bullets were actually going I dialed it in and it worked just fine.

Thank yee.

What do you mean by 'crosshairs centered?' If you mean mechanically centered (i.e. perfectly centered in the optical mechanism) then yes, your POI would be roughly 20 MOA higher than your POA.

a +MOA mount lowers the front of the optic relative to the rear.

Yup, turned all the way to one side (or top or bottom) and halfway back.
So, yeah, my mount must have 20 MOA built in even though it wasn't supposed to.
No bother though as once I fingered it out it worked very well.
Thanks guys.
