Is is possible in Iowa to get a permit for a SBR?  Any info is appreciated.  Is it the next best thing to buy a pistol lower?

Thanks

An AR pistol is the closest a non FFL in IA is going to get to an SBR.

I regular FFL can not even do SBR can they?

Don't they have to be a Class 3?

I believe that in IA Class 3 FFL's are the only one's with that possibility, but I may be wrong. Booger-hooker could tell us more info I think.

Or we could mount a state wide campain to repeal that law! Who's with me?

If you are a member of a established military re-enactment group, you can have a SBR, BUT, and it's a big BUT, It has to be converted to blank firing ONLY. You still have to apply to the BATFE and pay the tax
