[Last Edit: meltdown]
I moved here in March and am not as familiar with the political scene in SD as you long time locals. Seeing other states and counties brining back face diaper rules, is there a possibility that this crap could happen in SD, or at least in the more populated cities/counties? I know the governor is outspoken in favor of personal responsibility on this issue, but what if fedgov decides to play the old "do what we say or no fedbux for you" game. Will SD elected leaders stand strong or waver in the face of losing fedbux? Growing up in L.A. and living in Las Vegas, I have no faith in prostiticians whatsoever. If any of this crap makes headway into SD, we need to fight it off early and nip it in the bud and if that means ~edited my meltdown~ COC 4

Nearly zero. Sioux Falls had a mask mandate at the height of COVID scare last year, but it wasn't enforced and mostly ignored.
Outside of private businesses like COSTCO or Menards requiring them, I'd give it about a 0% chance. |

After I moved here I went to check out Menard's and Best Buy, and they both required face diapers. I told them I will spend my money elsewhere and will never patronize them. |

State mandated? Less than zero. County, city, or business? It did happen and can again. Gov. Noem tried to get a mask mandate ban through the legislature last year but it didn't go anywhere unfortunately.

The City council couldn't even get a mask mandate to the final vote in Rapid City, despite much cajoling. Nothing in Pennington, Meade, and Lawrence counties last time around.

I heard the mayor of Rapid City is a douche swizzling cock thistle from a good 'ol boy I was talking to in McDonald's last week! Not surprised since Rapid City is the big city of the area. Another reason I made my home outside of Pennington county. |

Speaking of covid19, I looked at some numbers online. My former home state of Nevada, which has mandated face diapers and is inching towards more restrictions has the 4th highest death rate per 100K people. Our great state of South motherfucking Dakota, which has no covid19 restrictions or mandatory face diapers is 49th out of 50 states in deaths per 100K people. Gee, makes one think this whole shit sammich may not be about a virus, but all about control.

The mayor of RC, while his heart is in the right place about many things, fell into the Covid hysteria last time. He couldn't even pass a mask "mandate" through the city council in the hight of "everyone gonna die". Pennington County, Meade County, Lawrence County commissioners are a entirely different animal! Don't worry about it. And the best food near Summerset is: /J.
How many people at the Kid Rock concert last week should be your guiding light. Welcome to Western SD! |

You guys and gals here have no idea how crazy and stupid the blue state rat holes are, and that was before covid19 made them even worse. The only problem I had is getting some work done on my home since the construction industry is booked out like crazy, but I am now making progress. I will say this as someone who was born and raised in the big city- we have to keep on top of the local politicians and hold their feet to the fire to keep the big city good idea fairy from gaining their attention. Trust me having witnessed the once free state of Nevada fall to the blue demonshit political machine, once they take over taxes/COL go up, criminals are coddled and let loose to run amok, kids are exposed to perversion in schools, etc. I know that our governor is getting heat with her stance on cannabis and other issues, but she is doing the Lord's work (so to speak) standing up for and not apologizing for how we go about living our lives and not knuckling under to the DNC/covid19 fear porn mafia. |

People are stupid. The cognitive disconnect covidiots have is truly astounding. Sitting in Culver's and the table next to me is occupied by 2 hambeasts and their 4 kids. One of them was bitching to a guy that showed up to meet them that the school district does not have a mask mandate and that her kid is the only one in his class who wears a face diaper. She also was crying about how the covid is worse than last year but there are no .gov rules or restrictions to protect us from the wuflu. Of course they all walked in with no masks and the kids are eating ice cream, one of which definitely does not need it. I had to hold my tongue and not yell out "if you want covidiocy rules then move to kalifornia". Obesity will claim these hambeasts before covid does. Thanos was right.
