Bennie Cooley will be teaching a Defensive Handgun II class June 16-18 at Big Sioux Rifle and Pistol Club. It's classroom Friday 6-10 pm and all day on the range Saturday and Sunday. Cost is $350

you only have to pay half down ($175) by the middle of February and the rest isn't due until the classis held in June. Save your lunch money.... we don't get this quality of training around these parts much.

any of you guys ever check out Greg Sullivan. He operates a training company called The Defensive Edge. His home range is 25 miles east of St. Cloud, MN. He is a Metro area SWAT officer. I have taken many courses from him and he is very good. He has a fourm on the industry section of AR-15.com. Very, Very reasonable priced.

no word yet. I did send my check in today though.
It got cancelled two years ago due to lack of participants.
We only need ten and you are the fifth one I've heard say they are going for sure.
If we can convince SanTifiQue that he can afford it that makes 6

One of our RO's has a son that's been with the Seattle PD for several years.
Might not hurt to come to one of the Monday night shoots at Gary's and meet him.

Why not see if you can put up some fliers at GGS or Sportsman's Warehouse? That might pique some interest. Some of the folks at GGS were asking me about Bennie (who is he) and I directed them to his website.

We unofficially have 8 people signed up. We need 2-3 more.
If there are any fence-sitters there is still time to get signed up.

This is a FIGHTING CLASS, we WILL be throwing each other around.
You will need a 9mm or larger, a holster,mags at least 3, plus 500 rounds of ammo.

Each student will receive specialized training that will enable them to avoid a confrontation, and when this is not possible, to deal with it successfully. Students will learn state of the art techniques through physical and mental conditioning in both the classroom, and field environment. Each of these techniques have been tested and proven by some of the most elite military and law enforcement organizations.

I might be interested; I just wish I'd heard about it sooner so I could save some more.

Any idea on what the additional expenses (ammo, mainly) might be? I've never done anything like this.
