Born and raised in Miller.. Plan on retiring in Ree Heights..
Still shoot in Hand, Hyde and Buffalo counties.. South Dakota is one of the few places in the US where you can see farther than you can shoot.. |

I could lay claim to the Mitchell area from time to time.
(This board may be the Dakotas but South Dakota does have 20% more population than North Dakota and that's not saying much). |

Detroit, MI & Custer, SD. back and forth, Family owns Top Pin Archery in Custer, I have about 10 years until retirement, then I would like to open a gunshop in the Custer / Hot Springs Area. If thing go well, might be able do it sooner.

My Dad lives in Philip, thats where Im at when I come to rain death on the prairie dog masses. The family is originally from Carpenter and Willow Springs, no too far north of Mitchell.

We live west of Grand Forks here,
We shoot on our own range only have a 200 yd but it's ours and we are in the Country so it don't matter what we are shooting our AR's or the 1919 with a crank. |

Arnegard/Watford City North Dakota is home. Burning up down around Las Vegas now. Miles and miles of great shooting right off my folks' front porch just outside the north unit of the Theodore Roosevelt Park. Heading up that way in a couple weeks since the kiddos are on vacation.

Anybody got a spot to shoot in Eastern SD?
I know of one ARF member with a 100yd range, all firearms welcome (full auto, supressed, etc), just wondering if somebody had something longer. he is near Garretson, SD, if somebody closer to "mid-state" has some land in a place that wouldn't mind a lot of noise, we should set up a SD shoot, now that there seems to be enough SD memebers to actually HAVE an SD shoot (oh, and ND, MN, NE neighbors would be welcome)... |

a little about my self.....i live in SF SD work at the sheriffs office (but if you gots the fully's i aint telling) AS long as i can play too! let us know about the party.homcant think of the name off hand but you can buy your membership @ scheels or the "jesse james county store" in garetson $20 a year .dont know how much scheels charges tho. |

I forgot about the hometown forums. Glad I checked it out finally. Good to see some locals on here. Some info on me. I live near Humboldt, but work in SF. 29 y.o.. No military experience other than my fathers parenting. I purchased my first AR this last spring. I've got a 150 yard range and could go out to 250 with neibors permission. After harvest but before the snow flies, maybe out to 1000 yards. I'd also like some info on the Dakota Benchrest Shooters range. Is that still a few miles west of HWY17 on 269th? |

Yep, and the guy who used to run memberships died, I don't have a new contact number for you. They aren't very "full auto friendly" when others are there, so you need to pick the off times. |
