*BLAST AT THE LAPEER PIT* pics and videos are up

35pics and 15 videos at this link.

Four of my friends (bumpfiring, AK47 and AR15 virgins) were all broken in on Sunday the 7th. I'm the one in the bottom pic here.

Met several of the Michigan board members there. Everybody was very cool and we had a nice safe outing. This first pic is of the majority of them returning to the firing line after a series of hot events. VERY HOT events, yes Sir.

There is a video of the folks still celebrating the hot event up on the side hill in my library at the link. It is after of course as I was helping with the hot event instead of doing the more entertaining thing of just filming it as it happened. Oh well, journalist I am not.

One question, who is bringing the dunce cap for the next shoot, (j/k)

Range report on the CLAYCO 56S recovered in the SAI debacle. It is just as accurate as it used to be so that asshole Gucciano bead blasting the chamber didn't ruin it. I broke several 100yard clay pigeons from offhand, also bounced a golf ball around at 25-30 yards for a couple minutes, till I lost it behind a log. It is reliable except when bumpfiring, 7-8 is the most it will run. That might have to do with the SLR-96 recoil spring guide or other scavenged parts. Either that or it needs the "belt loop method". More work to be done there.

Are those pics taken at the pit in Lapeer?  And if not, does anyone know where the pit is that was discussed in hometown section I'd like to shoot my AR-15 for some distance, but I don't want to pay an arm and a leg, or drive across the country, and I'd like to shoot with people who appreciate real guns IE: AR's & AK's, I'd appreciate any info, thanks Rangerdave, whoah!

Do I do the drag radials on the Cobra in the 2nd pic? I work at costco, and one of the guys looks like a guy who comes in for DRs on his 03' cobra. Sure looks a lot like him.

Those are Nitto drag radials on there, same ones I have on my convertible Cobra.

I like them fine in dry weather, rain never.
