Why not just send it to Ident or Orion? They do very good jobs, for a good price. IIRC, Orion did my last one for $36 - that included the shipping/ins.
Although I haven't seen any locally, I have seen some nasty jobs done by people's local shops on the internetz |

I've previously used Troy @ InRange out in Kodak, TN and he did a great job on another one for me, so I've got him too. I was hoping someone locally would come out of the woodwork with a "yeah, I used xyz and they did an awesome job, here's a picture of my engraving." If not, it's getting shipped. |

rgaper and I had traded some IMs around, and I know there is a trophy/awards place in Collierville, which got me wondering if they would engrave while you wait. Can't remember the name, but they are in a strip on Poplar.

UPDATE I found that there are a couple of places in the area that will do it, but zero that I would recommend. Without airing dirty laundry, I saw two lowers that were butchered and another that was not engraved to the required spec. If you want to keep it in-state, there are options, but seemingly nothing close by for those of us in W TN. |
