Not even any beanie babies or jerky, dammit!

I bought some over priced ammo.  No 7.62x39 of course...

I had the pleasure of meeting a few members. Never got to go eat though, maybe next time. Anyone else see the $1450.00 Oylmpic Arms A2?

Enjoyed meeting everybody!  I didn't realize that ya'll were doing lunch!

Yeah, not a very good show at all.  Not much to look at & couldn't find a good deal in the whole building...

Yep, you read right, $.25/round.

Not.

What happened Zoe17?  The BBQ was good!

Good to see the regular faces, one not-so-regular (666) face and several NEW arfcommers.

Bit man did that gunshow blow ?!?!

I hate RK Shows gun shows.

Think God for the good company, and fine vittles.
That is the only thing that keeps me going to them.

Arrrggghhh!  I wanted to go, too.  Not so much for the "gun" show, though.

I hung around most of Saturday, got there about 10:30 and left at about 4:00.  I sold a Garand and a Colt SP1.  Picked up another Garand, a USGI M1 carbine (for a song!), and a Sig P239.  I enjoyed it - I had to stay there awhile to find everything because the good stuff sure wasn't out on anybody's tables.  I picked up some Garand parts from David Reaves near the front door - he is one the best sources for M1 Garand parts.

Much appreciated, Pappy.  We ordered out that day, but it wasn't Memphis BBQ.  It's good to be remembered on such an occasion.  I should like to join you for some food and drink in a few months.  Still, to hear about how sorry the show was disappointed me to some degree.  It's like there's no hope.

Nah, Rictus that just means that all of the really good stuff has gone online.

This is true, but a good gun show is a kind of simple pleasure that I don't seem to ever get to enjoy.  Add food and drink with other folks who are as silly as I am about guns and one could hardly have a better time.  Otherwise, the 'net is certainly the place for gun folks now.  Should I feel so bad about that?

I guess I didn't expect much from the show, and it turned out better than I expected.  There were NO deals laying on tables anywhere.  I scored the good stuff I got off of individuals - and most individuals I know.  I guess it doesn't hurt that I will be going to Tulsa in three weeks, anything not settled at the rinky dink Memphis show WILL be settled out there.   It has about as much M1 Garand and AR-15 stuff as I can handle.  Everything is available there except Class III (Wanenmacher doesn't allow it, although some tables usually have a flyer of the Class III stuff they have at their shops).  I have grown to like the authentic "Old West" guns out there that have been passed down through families of original western settlers.
