We have less than a month before the Camden MG shoot. So, lets continue the
tradition of having our pre-Camden get together at Range USA.

WHEN: Saturday September 3rd from 6:00pm til ??
We normally shoot til close to closing time at 9:00 pm.
Clean up (sweep brass and throw away targets) so Scott doesn't have to, and then find a
nearby food establishment for some grub, a cold one, and some good conversation.

WHERE: Range USA on Old Whitten Road

WHO is invited: Any of the ARFCOM guys from the Memphis area.
You don't have to be going to the Camden MG shoot to come to Range USA.
It would be nice to see some new folks. (Inzane came last March for the first time,
and we have already ruined him for life. )

I will call Scott tonight and see if we can get the private left side of the range with 9 lanes and the classroom. I went at lunch, but Scott wasn't in yet.

Who else is coming? Will be a good time, and give all of us that are going to Camden
a chance to talk about who is bringing what.

I'd like to. I'll have to check.
I also have to make sure I have enough ammo for that AND Camden.

BE AWARE:

There will be a Memphis Friends Of NRA fund-raising machine gun shoot at Range USA on Saturday, September 24th. It will be from 1-6 p.m.. A portion of the procedes will go to St. Jude.

Volunteers are welcome, both labor and the use of pistol caliber firearms. Lemme know.

If we can't all be there on the 3rd, we can always move it up to Friday night the 2nd.

It won't be much fun unless everybody gets to come.

If ammo is a problem and you don't want to shoot up your Camden stash, we can always just
pick a restaurant and meet up there for some food and a few laughs. I enjoy just sitting around shooting the shit as much as going to the range.

You guys tell me what will work best for you. I'm flexible.

Every Labor Day weekend, they have a "Thirty Mile Yard Sale". It extends from I-40, along Highway 192, to Camden. Then, through Camden, along Highway 69, past Big Sandy, to the Benton County line. Sounded like something to do. Staying at the Guesthouse.

Well crap HK. Should we push it back a week 'til Friday the 9th or Saturday the 10th?

Whether you bring your German toys or not, it still won't be as much fun without ya.

I would like to nail down a date where we can all be there.

If everyone would, please post which dates would be best and we will go from there.
Choices are :

Friday the 2nd
Friday the 9th or
Saturday the 10th.

Zane and Jeepcreep have already said that Saturday the 3rd is no good so we won't
even consider that one.

I can do any of the three.

If it is a sensitive deployment type thing, we'll
understand if you can't say anymore

Whatever it is, good luck, and we hope to see you soon at
another Memphis area get-together. If you are available
the 17th of September, remember you can come up to Camden as a spectator and
watch the carnage.

....actually the FTG has filed a suit in this matter, and the new date is 12/31/05, not much help, but some!

As far as the new dates, that is a tad far out on my schedule right now, but currently they both look fine.

I can try to make the other two dates. Just have to try to wake up really early on those days. Damn up coming overnight work schedule that I have to work for the next 2 months.

Thank goodness that I was able to get the Camden weekend off, I will have plenty of repressed frustration to vent into the cars and other various objects there.

Don't have to mount it on the roof. Just fold the backseats up and the whole back of the element is open like a cargo van. I can set the gun up on the tripod and roll. Just think how cool it would be to back up to the firing line and shoot from inside the element if it starts raining.

Good, I'll try to make that. I'm going to test fire my twin MG42/22's over at Pickwick this weekend. The RangeUSA shoot will let me test any changes I may have to make.

50 rounds of .22lr in about 3 seconds should seriously rip some paper!

Well we went......Showed up around 6pm HKoverkill ( John ) showed up shortly after.....JeepCreep and Jeep Jr. came by, They did not shoot....but did say howdy....

John and I were the only ones .....but had a great time.....we put many rounds down range....John had his MP5.....

and for those that did not make it.....that just left more for me to shoot in it...heheheheheh

And I must say a 100 round Beta mag burst is a must for everyone.....very quick 8 sec but what a blast...

Wish more came by but we understand .....afterwards we went to eat and talked about the Camden shoot.......we had a great time even with only 2 folks.....

Sorry, they wouldn't let us come back inthe range area. We had been in AR all day looking for a duck pit lease, when wife called me to remind me that it was homecoming dance night, and I was supposed to be home for pics before our daughter went out. I didn't have enough time to pack a range bag....sorry! I will know this afternoon if I can make Camden. My son has a football game Sunday, and Sat is the walk thru, so it depends on Sat's practice time.
