Who's going, what lane will you be on and what toys are you bringing?
I will be in lane 21 and will have my SA M1919A4, twin MG42/22's and various AK's, AR's and pistols. I also have a couple of ideas for the night shoot (other than .308 and .22lr tracer). |
Camden Tennessee. Not far away at all (I'm in Martin). What's going on there? I'd come, just need a time, place, etc.
"September Southern Heritage Machine Gun Shoot", September 17-18. More info here: http://www.tftc-inc.com/events.html Lane 20 (next to me) is currently the only lane open. |
I just finished loading up the better part of 500 rounds of 6.8 yesterday. Damn that was a pain in the butt, but I am now ready for camden.
I'm not sure what lane we are in.... I just hope there isn't another 3 hour fire delay!
Hey WHAT ABOUT DUMPSTER VISION? sorry just had to be my smart assed self |
IT RULES!!! CAMDENCAMDENCAMDENCAMDENCAMDENCAMDENCAMDENCAMDENCAMDENCAMDEN |
What rules? the 3 hour fire delay? cheezie crackers.....man, you like hanging out in the DMV as well?
Yep all ready to go here.....will be there Fri and Sat night......we are on Lanes 16 & 17......should have several toys......at least one Serbu 50 BMG rifle will be on line ....and Yes Dumpster Vision does RULE.......!!!!!
And did someone say Waffles...................... |
We'll be on #34 and #35.
INZANE123: Get in touch regarding your spot. |
Grrr, the hotel was booked up, looks like I will be crashing in Paris TN. 20 miles though is a lot better than driving in from Memphis.
Not to self, bring sunscreen, bring more sunscreen, oh yeah and then some more sunscreen. |
Hotel books up for thenext shoot on sunday of the shoot.........
Inzane,
you can crash in the floor with us if you want to. That would suck having to drive to Paris. You'll miss dumpstervision dude! |
There are 3 or 4 motels in town, and there are a few at the I-40 exit to Camden.
Yeah, but none of them charge me as little as the Hampton.
Of course work just did a nasty on me and switched my schedule over to nights starting in september so I probably will not be worth killing. Made sure though that I took the days off for Camden. I cannot wait to try these 6.8 handloads that I have cooked up. Think that I am going to own my unfair share of tannerite bottles. |
Mind if some GA boys play? Me, ARH and Bradd_D are on spot 51. We'll be there for DumpsterVision for sure!
What is the weather like at night there now? I'm wondering how cool it will get for DV. We'll have a few M16s with us. If I'm really lucky, my TROS barrel will be here and I can finish building my new project. It's looking like we won't have our AAC cans in time. Damn transfers got all screwed up. |
As if you needed a formal invitation. Looking forward to seeing you there. We are on lanes 16 and 17. |
Is Alex coming with you this time? Tell him I said hi. I'll have some mags with his name on them. |
Hmm....let's see.....get out of school Friday, hang out with the guys all weekend shooting machineguns? Yeah, he will definately be there. He is looking forward to seeing his buddy Bookhound. He is looking forward to showing you his new Mossberg 835 turkey gun he got for his birthday. |
Cool. Good choice of a blaster too. I've take many a dove with my 835. I'll have to bring some shot shells.
We hope to get there around lunch time Friday. Maybe not so rushed that way. Bookhound, you got some toys in? Looking forward to seeing you all, and of course, dumpster vision. No trip to Camden would be complete without it.
Take care, BW |
Yes, I've got a DIAS gun running with a 16" Bushy upper. I'm working on another "project", but it doesn't look like I'll have it running in time. We'll have to see.
I was hoping to have an M4-2000 and a Piolt (on a P22), but the damn transfer got screwed up. So no cans this time. You on the same spot on the line buzzworm? |
Same position, a few more toys, so bring ammo.
See ya then, BW |
Yo Buzz! What kinda ammo should I be bringing...... for your guns? |
You will already have 9mm and .223 You may want to pick up some .45ACP I've been running Win white box 230 FMJ from Wally-world, but I'll have 1500+ rds so don't worry about it too much.
I also got my spare gas tubes in from Bushy to go with 3 uppers, so beta mags SHOULD be poss. Bookhound, is Lostwildcat coming? Tell him I have some 173 FMJ BT loaded up for the AR10/Tannerite if he wants to try it. Hope he's not still mad at me for shooting his Tanners. Is there anything we can bring to help anyone out? See ya'll soon. Can't wait, BW |
Last I heard LostWildCat might not be making this trip. I don't know for sure though. I've been meaning to call him, but keep getting distracted by other crap.
Regarding the Tannerite, that's what he gets for being slow on the trigger. Mark |
I just found a friend of mine, Keith New (he had the bazooka at Camden in March) will not be able to attend. His daughter is getting married that weekend.
Since Keith has the large stack of FA's we fire at Camden, my 11yo is a bit upset (well, so am I). We would greatly appreciate getting to fire some FA's others are bringing. We will have the ammo. I don't own an FA weapons, but will have some interesting toys there. |
Sorry Keith won't be there. He's a great guy. I've enjoyed speaking with him the past few shoots.
Cpt_Kirks, while we won't have any belt-feds, you're welcome to shoot a couple M16s. I was hoping to have one setup as a 9mm with a TROS barrel, but it just ain't gonna happen. The darn RRA parts I need are all on backorder. So, bring some .223 ammo. No steel case or reloads is all I ask. Mark |
Capt. while you're there with Bookhound, stop next door and say Hi. We might be able to find something for that boy to shoot also.
Sorry to hear Kieth won't be there. The nerve of some folks, getting married on the weekend of a MG shoot. Just kidding. See ya'll there, BW THREE MORE WEEKS !!!!!!!!!!!! |
Smell that...............mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm I think gun powder is in the AIR.................
Will be here soon.............Looking foward to the shoot and all the great company....Maybe the roaches will stay out of our room......hehehehehehe what was that crazy guys name....??? |
I don't remember the drunken fool's name......but he did mention several times that he was a union millwright from West -by God-Virginia. (In between sips of YOUR whiskey). LOL |
I forgot about that. That was funny as hell. He wasn't even there for the shoot. He just kind of stumbled over during DumpsterVision.
Great pics Bookhound.
I didn't realize I got so sunburned that day. I've always known I was a redneck, but geez, that was ridiculous. |
You had an awning. I looked like the front of HKO's hat. I bought one of those "easy up" awnings for this shoot. And some sun screen. |
Just ordered one of thesefor Camden. I think I am going to be one of the most comfortable shooters on the line.
I will have "Base-Rigger" style bump fire rigs for my AK and AR to play with.
I may have a few extra to sell... |
You can't mount a .50 BMG on that. Silly goose. |
Yeah and it looks like he plans on doing some of that high falutin' "Aiming". Where's the fun in that? |
Aiming can be fun. Depending on what you are shooting at.
I am just a simple little single shot guy. I would rather be sitting up then laying down prone with a bunch of brass raining down upon my back. |
Roger that! |
Oh there is nothing like a Hot brass shell in the crack of your ass while shooting.......Firing under stress.....makes you a better shooter.............heheheheheheheheh
Dude, you're weird. No wonder I like you! |
