IDPA & IPSC matches are this weekend.

IDPA shoots in Gallatin, over by the steam plant. Entry fee is $15, IIRC. Lots of fun!

IPSC shoots in Dickson, just outside of town. First time shooters get to shoot for free! I've never done IPSC so I'm looking forward to this one!

I'm gonna try for a double, IDPA on Sat & the IPSC on Sunday! Woo-hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't forget the 3 Gun match Sunday in Manchester!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great fun today!!! Great RSO's, great course, good fellow shooters, the only ointment on the day was the GD heat!

Next 3 Gun is in Nov, same range. Ya'll should make plans to make this, it's TOO much fun!!!!

You talkin about at the NTPS range outside of Dickson Bob?
Sounds interesting.If I can get away I may be there playin too.Ive never done an ISPC either.

Yes, that's the only range outside of Dickson, AFAIK. I'll be shooting there Sat. I was told to bring about 250-300rds. Sounds like fun!

Shot it today, lots of fun! Some stages had as many as 32 rds required to fire, 16 targets with 2 shots each. Way cool! First time shooters also shoot for free!

I think I may shy away from IDPA after doing IPSC, at least with what I've experienced so far.

Since it was mentioned does anyone have a Shooter/Beater/Loaner AR that I could shoot at the match. If so I would like to meet you at your range or mine (Muary County Gun Club) to shoot it a couple times before the match.

Yes, I have an AR on my short list of things to get but I'm having trouble deciding what to get/spend and I don't think I will have one by Aug 7th.

Is Allen heading up this match?

Will I be able to make a couple test fires on the rifle range before the match?

Lastly does this forum send an email when post are updated? Maybe I just need to change some settings?

I will plan to be there a little after 12:00 on the 31st. Let me know if the plan changes it's about 1.5hr drive for me.

I shot in your squad at the May 7th 3Gun Match if you can put a face to a name.
I was using one of Chris' AR's then but he moved to Texas last month so I lost my sponsor .
