Dear Governor Cox-
Please include a Second Amendment Protection ("Sanctuary") bill in the Special Session agenda.
Utah needs to join the many other states and counties which have already prohibited using state or local assets to enforce unconstitutional or problematic federal infringements on legal gun ownership protected by the Second Amendment.

Our friends in the legislature indicate there is good support for such a bill, and some of their talking points include:
Many states are passing these policies.
None of these bills would prevent the Federal Government from enforcing its own laws.
The Federal government cannot compel states to enforce Federal laws. Printz v. United States (1997).
Heller and McDonald case decision reinforce the individual and state 2nd Amendment right.
The second amendment doesn’t create a right – it protects an existing and unalienable right.
Remember, it may not be possible to stop the Biden Adminstration's anti-gun agenda, but we can minimize the impact on Utah's law abiding gun owners if we get a sanctuary bill passed!
