Sounds like a killer seller's market. I should've brought an old Yugo SKS with bayonet that I have somewhere. Probably go for $800-1000.
I went to a Crossroads of the West gunshow in November, right after Obama was reelected. It was an absolute zoo. The ticket line was roughly 500 yards to get in. Wall to wall bodies and you know how good some of those gun show bubbas smell. On my way in, I saw a guy wheeling out a handtruck with fifteen 1000-round boxes of 5.56 ammo. I didn't buy anything that day. |

I went. It was a shit show. Took 40 minutes to get in because the line was 500+ people deep. Then once in, 99% of the ammo was being sold by the same two tables in the back. The line for the ammo was 1,000+ people and wrapped around two full sides of the entire room before zig zagging 4 rows deep at the back. Line to get the ammo was at least 2+ hours. I looked over the shoulders of guys near the front and saw $700 for 1,000 rounds of Wolf Gold, etc. and decided to hell with that.

Half of the show is the same guys selling the same overpriced stuff they been trying to off load for the last 10 years. Plus the usual Chicom knock off stuff and lots of knifes. |

The ammo line was down to about where you were standing to take the pic when I got around to that side of the building. But that was around 11am. I went to find an old rear sight for my model Winchester 69. The guy that sells that stuff was there and he had the parts. I left after walking through the show to see what everyone had. I bought a "Do Everything Manual" for my HK USP from a guy that was selling only books. The ammo was crazy high prices. I saw $50.00 for a box of 9mm.  It was a panic buying fest and the sellers were making out. |
