My wife and I (we also have a child), are thinking about moving in 10 years to the Salt Lake City area of Utah.  Our plan is to purchase some property no more than 2 hours from SLC that we can use as a weekend get-away.  We are thinking about making that purchase now, then purchase a home in the SLC area when we are ready to move.

This place has what looks to be some nice property and is a gated ranch that seems to promote the hunting/shooting sports (they have a hunt club type plan you can join).

Anyways, if anyone has looked into this place or has experience with it, can you please tell me your thoughts?  Also, if anyone has any better options or thoughts, please let me know.

Thanks in advance!!

Visit before you buy!!!!  There are several "Ranch" realators in that area. Some are nice others have no codes as to the type of building or what is done with the property and are down right trashy.
I drive through the area on my way to my cabin in the Uintas and have looked at some of the property in the area. If you are considering buying it would be well worth your time to visit Duchesene, (may be misspelled) between Herber and Roosevelt and check out the many developments. Some are good, some are trashy and some boarder on scams.
