Ya, and the temp is rapidly dropping tonight!  Below zero temps tomorrow.  Only three things that suck about Wyoming,........Jan. Feb. and March.

I thought winter didn't end until July?  I remember snow on July 4th in Evanston once as a kid.  It's the year round wind that kills you more than the cold temps.

EMU - you ain't seen nothing yet. I have been snowed on every month of the year in Wyoming. That said the last 10-15 years have been pretty mild winters in terms of snow. The majority of the state is in a moderate to extreme draught as is Utah and Montana -

as you can see the NE corner is becoming a dustbowl. However even though there is a lack of snow it is still very cold - wait until the end of January and you will see some real cold nights. On average there is still another 60-75 more days of winter - then the potguts will be running.  Remember to dress warm and take food and drink when traveling through WY on the Interstate in the winter as you never know.
